Robin has a Masters in Land Economy from Cambridge
University and is a Chartered Surveyor. Raised on a farm in Yorkshire
and educated
in Cumbria he has expertise in property development, public sector
grants and funding, development feasibility, business planning and
social inclusion.
Robin was a key advisor on the Borough Market providing advice on
pubic sector grants and business planning and raising £2.8m
of Development Agency funding to support the refurbishment works.
Robin was then involved in the construction management of the works
on site and the development of a range of social and economic initiatives
linked to the main refurbishment works.
Linked to the main market refurbishment, Robin set up and raised
funding for programmes including market related training for traders,
advice on setting up market trading businesses, small business advice
services and childcare linked to staff at the market. He also developed
a community involvement programme to include local residents in the
changes taking place in the area and set up and managed a community
led board to oversee these regeneration projects. |
